Before you can create an invitbox account, you need to be an Admin user of an existing account, or if you use Quickbooks (QBO) you can register for an account via the QBO App page.
Registering subsequent invitbox accounts
There are 2 ways to register subsequent accounts;
1. Within an existing account's Admin tab; From here you'll have the choice of creating a Standalone company OR a Client company [Child account] if you are a Partner
- Log into the account and go to the Admin tab, at the bottom of the page you will see this button;
2. Or Via the Partner Dashboard; Only 'Parent' accounts have a Partner Dashboard & only a Client company [Child account] can be created from here
- Log into the Parent account and go to the Admin tab> select 'Partner dashboard'> click on the green 'ADD' button.
After clicking on '+Register a New Company' or 'ADD' you will see the below workflow;
Company to Register: If you created the company from the bottom of the Admin tab you will have the option of Standalone or Client.
A Standalone Company means the company you create will not be connected to another, meaning it will need to purchase it's own credits.
A Client Company (often called a 'Child') means the company you create will be linked under your Parent account, meaning it will use your credits.
Country of Registration: It is important to set this correctly. Choosing an incorrect country will mean that the calculations that invitbox uses for taxes will be incorrect. If your country is not on the list, please email us and we will endeavour to get it there as quickly as we can.
Company Registration Number / ABN: Not mandatory
Company Name: This is the name that we will use to represent your company inside invitbox. It is not your @invitbox.com account name.
Trading Name: Not mandatory
Invitbox Name: This is going to be your Invitbox account's email address that you will provide to your suppliers. This is how your invoices will get into your account. So please make it something short and representative of your business. For e.g 'Johns Plumbing' could be 'firstname.lastname@example.org'. Note that in the field you just need to enter the start of it, for eg just enter johnsplumbing If you change your mind after creating the account, then we change it for you. Just email us at email@example.com
Address, City, State, Postcode: self explanatory
If you check this box you are identifying that you are an Accountancy or Bookkeeping firm. If you do so one of our team will get in contact with you in order to talk about our Partner Program.
Will you be the Administrator?
Leave this box ticked if you want to be the Administrator of the account. This means you will be an Admin user of it. But if you need someone else to look after it, untick the box and provide another person's details. Then they'll receive an email from us asking them to accept the role, but until they accept the role, your account will not be active.
We suggest that you should be the Administrator of any accounts you register
Once you click OK we will send you a registration email with further information about getting started. If you do not see the email within a few minutes, please check your junk or spam folder.
More on Standalone or Client Companies
If you are an Accountant or Bookkeeper, or own a group of businesses, you are likely to need a Parent/Child setup for credit share purposes (some call it an Umbrella setup). This means you have the 'Parent' account at the top: which purchases the credits, then linked under this would be your 'Child' accounts: which use the parents credits.
Before you can have this Parent/Child scenario, you will need to ask us to activate one account as a 'Parent'. After this is done you will be able to create new linked child accounts (a Client company), but make sure you are logged into your parent account.
If you mistakenly register the company as Standalone, and not a child, then we can link them for you. We just need the person who registered the company to email us at - firstname.lastname@example.org. Or you can just cc the parent account owner into the email request so we can seek permission.
