Invitbox can receive the following types of files:
PDF - for automatic data extraction (mapping)
JPEG, TIF & PNG - for manual data entry
I sent a PDF, but invitbox is saying that I need to have the bill manually entered?
Ah...well, that is because there are 2 types of PDFs. There are system generated PDFs, and there are images masquerading as PDFs.
In order for there to be data extraction, the file must be a system generated PDF. For more information on this please see the attached PDF Help!
What happens if a supplier emails a different type of document?
If a supplier emails you a different type of file such as Word, Excel, HTML, or similar the invitbox server will forward that email to your re-direct email address so that you don't miss out on it. (therefore it needs to be an address that is regularly checked)
You can set your re-direct email via Admin > Company Settings
What if I had not set a re-direct email? Where does the email that the supplier sent go to?
If the supplier had sent you an email with an attachment that was not a PDF, JPEG, TIF or PNG file, the invitbox server would have sent a reply to the supplier asking them to resend the bill to your invitbox account in an accepted format.
How do my suppliers know what to send?
We have drafted a template letter that you can send to your suppliers.
